Dramatists Play Service

6 East 39th Street

New York, N. Y.

Dear Barrett:

I am back in town and would like so much to see you soon. I know that you will be interested in the work which I am doing and the enclosed memorandum will tell you all about it.

My new play, now entitled PASTOR HALL, which I rewrote, has been translated by Stephen Spender and I think he did a very fine job. Random House will publish it together with BLIND MAN’S BUFF. If you think it necessary that there be a line in the book saying that the amateur rights are handled by the Play Service be so kind and inform Bennett Cerf of this.

Looking forward to seeing you soon,

Yours as ever,

Ernst Toller.
