Your Excellency,
In Copenhagen I have spoken with the President of the Trade Unions, who promised me to send a letter of support, signed by the official leaders of the Danish trade unions, to Oslo. Mr. Hedtoft Hansen, one of the leaders of the Social Democratic Party and President of the Danish Help Committee to Spain, promised me to get in touch with the Danish Foreign Minister, so he may inform me through the Danish Legation in Oslo of the activities of the Danish Government. If necessary, I will go back to Copenhagen.
I have just had a talk with the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Mr. Koht, who will submit the proposal to the Council of Ministers. It seems that the Norwegian Parliament will take the same attitude as did the Swedish.
At one p. m. I shall talk before the leaders of the Norwegian Trade Unions. As soon as I have new results, I shall inform you.
