Dear Reginald Reynolds,
You are mistaken, Zenzl Mühsam isn’t any more in prison. I also learned a year ago her being in prison but I can assure you that she is free since many months. I am getting frequently letters from her. In her last letter she asked me whether I could not get a publisher for her husband’s manuscripts, especially his prose. I really believe it is our duty to keep alive the memory of this heroic man who was, as you know, a writer of great skill. Could you help me in finding a publisher for his work in England? Maybe you know somebody who would be willing to translate the German MSS so that one can send the English text to a publisher. Please discuss the question with Ethel. I am sure she will help. Concerning Mühsam’s letters I advise to write to Zenzl to Moscow. I sent you the address in my last letter.
I quite understand that you do not pay a fee but I hope you will send me two copies of the book.
Christiane’s and my love for Ethel
Good wishes,
Yours sincerely
Ernst Toller.
