Harry Weinberger, Esq.,

Counselor at Law

70 West 40th Street

New York, N.Y.,

Dear Mr. Weinberger:–

I have read your letter to the Editor of “Freiheit” with utmost delight. If nothing else comes out of this whole affair, there will always remain the pleasure your splendid esprit gave me.

As the Manager of “Freiheit” writes that not all the copies were sold, do you think they would find it impudent if I asked them for several author’s copies or whether this would be an arrogance on the part of an author whose books were printed without his permission?

Last Sunday I was in New York but unfortunately could not get hold of you. As soon as my film is finished, I shall return to New York and it will give me much pleasure to see you again.

Sincerely yours,

Ernst Toller.
