c. o. John Lane

Vigostreet

London W.1.

Dear Mr. Darnton,

I shall not be in England during the summer. I am going in the first days of July to Pilat-Plage, near Arcachon (Gironde) and my address there will be “Villa Emeki”.

If you should go to England over Bordeaux I would be very glad indeed if you would come to see me.

The translation of the puppet-play will be finished in a few days. As soon as it is finished it shall be send to you. I have written three Chorus works, one has been translated. Mr. Arthur Henderson, 31, Great Jamesstreet, W. C. 1., who has done the translation (he is also translating the puppet play) will send you a copy of the Chorus work.

When I have been in Tanger I met there a man, who was a splendid connoisseur of Arabian music and art. He is Mr. Bentata and it will certainly not be very difficult for you to find his address, as he is very well known in Tanger.

Please do call on him and bring him my greetings. I think he could be very useful and helpful for your studies in Arabian music.

All good wishes and kind regards

Yours sincerely

Ernst Toller.
