Dear Mr. Bradley,
I am more than sorry to tell you that I found your letter of March 27th only to-day. I have been abroad for several months on account of my bad health, and, by a misunderstanding, my letters were not sent on to me until just now. I regret this the more as something similar happened some time ago.
You must have got a very bad impression of me when you did not get any answer to your kind invitation. Meanwhile I am with the kindest regards to you and Miss Gould
